Overview

MINDSET Care Limited is the registered charity of the Jardine Matheson Group in Singapore, established to make a tangible difference to the local mental health community.

Mental health and wellness are integral, it affects one’s ability to work, function and interact with those around you. According to a nation-wide study by the Institute of Mental Health, 1 in 7 people in Singapore have experienced a mental disorder in their lifetime and yet majority of them do not seek help.

MINDSET aims to raise awareness of the understanding of mental health issues to change attitudes and the negative perception attached to it. We seek to provide a holistic approach towards supporting mental health persons-in-recovery, their families and caregivers, as well as mental health social service agencies, through our five focus areas.

Awareness & Outreach

Raise awareness and reduce the stigma associated with mental health conditions through campaigns, communications and events.

Back to the Workforce

Promote social and community acceptance and reintegration for persons-in-recovery by sourcing for relevant job and training opportunities.

Social Enterprise

Assist persons-in-recovery in gaining a sustainable source of income through profit-generating business activities.

Fund Raising

Raise funds through community and corporate engagements and partnerships for mental health programmes and projects.

Fund Allocation

Allocate contributions from the Jardine Matheson Group of companies and other funds raised through MINDSET activities, by evaluating sponsorship or donation requests from social service agencies in Singapore providing services to enhance the mental health community.

We aim to be a corporate leader in this space and encourage other corporates in Singapore to join us in the journey of providing the support needed by the underserved mental health community.

In 2022, MINDSET was conferred the “Charity Governance Award” for the second successive time for its exemplary standards of governance and the “Charity Transparency Award” by Singapore’s Charity Council for the fifth consecutive time. Jardines and MINDSET were also named “Champions of Good” in 2018, 2020 and 2022 for leading the way in corporate giving and awarded the President's Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards 2021, Organisations of Good - Corporate (Large Enterprise) by the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre for achieving excellence in corporate giving.

MINDSET Leadership

MINDSET understands the importance of good governance in doing good for its beneficiaries. Our Board of Directors, Steering Committee and team of Advisors hone a variety of skills and experiences in ensuring MINDSET's continued success.

Our Beneficiaries

MINDSET works with mental health social service agencies to provide support required for the mental health community. Over the years, MINDSET has set up two flagship projects, MINDSET Learning Hub and DigitalMINDSET with Singapore Association for Mental Health and TOUCH Community Services respectively. MINDSET provides financial support, resources and volunteers from the Jardine Matheson Group of companies in Singapore.
